Quite lengthy as well - nearly 100 pages. It’s quite thorough and covers all aspects of the game explaining the core concepts and more. There’s an excellent detailed guide on the Total War forums, which I referred to all the time when I used to play back in the day. But it’s definitely lacking in depth and does not explain the core concepts very well. The game has an in-built tutorial campaign which will take you through the basics of unit control, battlefield tactics, economy and expansion. I’ll admit I’m no expert but not totally new to the game either - played the disc version in 2011 - 2012.Then a friend of mine borrowed the disc and never bothered to return it. Yay! Now let’s learn how to play the damn thing. After a slight technical delay, the Steam store page finally updated and many of us claimed the well renowned strategy masterpiece that is Total War: Shogun 2. ![]()
